July 23, 2012: My 18th Birthday

April 2012, we (I and my friends) have already planned about my birthday. What we have planned, is just a simple and doesn't have a program, birthday party. It's just an overnight pool party with my friends. Everybody was excited about this. I also told my parents about this on May, and they have agreed. But on the month before my birthday, when I asked them again, my father told me to ask my grandparents about this, since, our planned venue was just meters away from my grandparents' house at Bagong Abre, Legazpi City. I had no time to go there and ask them, we went the Sunday, two weeks before my birthday. And they really don't wanna allow us to celebrate there, especially overnight since it's not safe and there are hidden creatures there. Sounds creepy right?

I, with the help of my friends, thought of a new plan. It was really hard for us. So I came to the point, that I don't wanna celebrate it, because there's no enough time left. But, with the support of my friends, I have this thought of, "Okay, I can do this."

Tuesday that week, my father told me, that we'll still be celebrating it still at Mina's Resort, the place we planned to have an overnight pool party. But, he said, that I should just have a formal party, no longer overnight. He asked me to text my aunt to inquire there. And so I did. The next day, they told me that the place is not available. -.- So they decided, that we'll celebrate it at my grandparents' house, since we have enough space there.

I finalized the program, the lists of my 18 candles. And since, I have lot of girlfriends, I also added 18 treasures. My father also told me that there should be "18 shots." I was really shocked when he said that, just like "Woooow!" HAHAHAHA. My father is strict about such, but ohyeah, he was the one who suggested it. I have no 18 roses in my plan, because it feels like, so formal, and I'm shy. HAHAHA. But, Pring, sponsored the roses. ♥

One week before, I have no invitation yet. My cousin, Kuya Dhan sent me a money for the payment in printing the invitations. ♥ I went to Dondi's and asked them to made a layout for me. The next day, I got the invitations, and have send it to my friends.

It was a busy week for me since it was also our Acquaintance Party. I'm one of the officer and I need to prioritize it first. Saturday, I have finalized everything. Just as I thought. Since Sunday, that was also the birthday of our friend Junel. And Mich came home to celebrate my birthday, ♥ We have enjoyed the Sunday, not to think that tomorrow is already my day. And lol, we don't have yet the balloons and I don't have yet a dress, which I have realized when I went home. Sucks :/

Monday, I have Physics class in the morning and in the afternoon, thank God, I just have a one-hour class. But unluckily, we were scheduled to have a boardwork. Stressful! But, maybe Sir have known that it was birthday, so he cancelled it and instead had a lesson. Loljk! After the class, I hurriedly went to Legazpi to buy a dress. Good thing Jussel has no class that time, he was the one one who ordered the balloon, which he and Karla sponsored :D ♥

We met at LCC. Whew! Super stressful to choose a dress because I just like a simple but a dress that would make me recognized that I'm the debutante. Haha. We ended up, choosing this simple dress:

We are also the one who picked up the balloon. Hassle, so I texted my uncle to fetch me up. As I arrived, my cousins were already there welcoming me with hugs and kisses. I took a bath and change clothes since it's already 5pm.

After all the errands, exactly, Hon. Noel Rosal came. Such an honor to have him as one of my visitors. But he is on a hurry since he still have an appointment. I'm still thankful he came despite his busy schedule. He advised me to be diligent in my studies and be a good daughter to my parents.

6 pm was the estimated time to start the program. And, you kno', filipino time. They came late. 7pm already, some of my friends are not yet around, especially the host. Haha. I feel lie ashamed to my visitors, thinking that they are already hungry, so I asked my mother, if they I could let the visitors eat. 8pm when Vhantzz, John, Bernz and Sha arrived. We have started the program. Vhantzz is really awesome, though she wasn't prepared that she didn't dressed up because she just planned to send a hug and greet me and go home. But with my persistence, haha. I have convinced her to be the host.

The program started with a prayer led by Regine. She too, was unprepared, because it should've been Fr. Naga, who should give the prayer, but he wasn't around due to unfinished appointments. After which, was the 18 candles:

Her gift is a necklace with star-shaped pendant and star earrings, which she said  "Stars make people on earth smile, and you upon me guided me during my darkest hours and keep me standing on my toes. As life goes on & you become a lady at last, the only thing I can offer you is my gift. The earrings symbolizes your open ears whenever I need to be heard& a necklace that symbolizes the strong bond of our friendship. The simple treasures I gave to you as a sign of my happiness and gratefulness, I want to show you. Dwell in the midst of dreams & aspirations of wonderland. Light up the whole place with your brightness. :)

4. Laiz, my best friend since grade 2 and still my classmate 'til now. She gave me a photo album where I could treasure my memories.

6. Dud, gave me an ABKD bag which I often use now. :)

7. Deb, gave me a Michaela clutch :)

9. Gen, a junior officer from DWCLHS, gave me a pair of shoes, since I'm lakwatsera daw. Lol

12. Karen Segovia and 13. Ellen :) They have the same gift with me. Lol, as in same, the color too. Only the box was different. Haha

16.  Zed, who should've been part of it, but didn't come also due to an unexcused but funny reason, which until now hasn't given me her gift. Lol

And I blew the candle again :D

Then dinner and picture taking! ♥♥♥ While having dinner, my cousins prepared a surprise number. Lol. I appreciate it much.
